About Bus Schedules/How to Read the Schedule
On the cover of each schedule you will see a route number and name.
The number and name on the schedule corresponds to the information on the large sign above the windshield or on the side of every Access Allegany bus.
A time schedule and route map tells you when and where a bus travels.
Access Allegany buses operate Monday through Friday except for major holidays. A list of these holidays can be found on the website and at the back of the bus schedule packet.
Schedules are written to tell you when the bus will stop at designated Bus Stops along the route.
Determine where you want to go and at what time.
Follow the row of time points from the place you want to travel from, to the place you want to travel to.
Determine which time is good for you, and you will be on your way.
How To Get A Bus Schedule
Access Allegany bus schedules are available at:
- several locations throughout Allegany County.
- on-line at www.accessallegany.org.
- Your bus operator for the bus that you are on.
- Or you can contact Access Allegany Customer Information Center at 585-593-1738, Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Flag Stops are undesignated bus stops that can occur on a fixed bus route between designated bus stops.
To schedule a Flag Stop, please contact the Access Allegany Call Center at 585-593-1738, Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Please be ready to provide the Access Allegany operator with the following information:
- your name
- exact pick-up location
- and to learn when a bus will be traveling past your location in the direction that you would like to travel.
The Access Allegany operator will instruct you to what time you should be at your pick-up and will notify the bus operator.
According to American Disability Act Regulations, Access Allegany is pleased to offer individuals living with a disability better access to transportation services through route deviation.
Buses will travel up to Â¾ of a mile from our fixed routes to pick up or drop off passengers.
To request this service, contact the Access Allegany Call Center at least two business days in advance.
Route deviation costs are $3.00 per boarding.
